The Gail Spot. Blogging It.

Any wonder why the French hate us? The Christian Science Monitor has an interesting article, Vive la baguette?, about the decline of the beloved baguette due to...can you guess what??....cereal!

Planned Parenthood has put together a petition, Take Action: Two Million for Roe: Join the Roe Call Now, to ask that Supreme Court nominee John Roberts reveal his thoughts on upholding Roe vs Wade. This is very important, as he could have the power to take away our right to choose!!!

Go to this link to find the coordinates of "The Gail Star". The official mascot of "The Gail Spot". I expect you all to pull out those trusty telescopes and find it in a sky near you!

Dana and Matt got a new kitten a few weeks ago. Isn't it darling??? It resembles Sophie in color, but will be long hair. He'll be a big one--check out those ears and paws!! And it's great, as he's very good with their 10-month-old baby Mikayla and puts up with her pulling his ears. He is probably the most laid-back cat I've ever met. And his name is Tigger.

Wow! Why didn't I think of this? It seems like such a simple idea...yet so good. And Wal-Mart has these for really cheap.

The only thing is the low megapixel...so they also have another, slightly nicer pair.
And this one even has 90-seconds of video. Fun!

I have really been mad about "Mad About You". The "Lifetime Real Women" network shows episodes daily at 4:00 and 4:30. I just have to watch it! I now realise how great this show really is! Especially now that I am living with someone...they are eerily similar to Mike and me at times...

REDBOX is such a cool idea!! Too bad McDonald's owns it...But still, I would def use this service! It's an automated DVD rental machine. And it's only $1 a day for rental fees!! Too bad they are only in areas far, far away from me, like Hartford and Las Vegas.

New Truth or Dare?? Or something like it? I guess it's the "grown-up" Madonna, the new Kabbalah Madonna. We'll have to see, as the 30 seconds doesn't really cover much! Yay! New Madonna things!

Amazon is 10 years old? Yes, it's true...I can hardly believe that. But the funny thing is to check out their original home page:
Amazon in 1995
That is truly hilarious! And I thought my site wasn't designed that well!?!?!

Just came across this site, Veer, which has some really cool (and free!) wallpaper for your desktop.

The Strange Doll Series really moved me in some utterly bizarre way. They sort of remind me of Tony Oursler from the 90's. They are a bit repulsive, but yet they draw you in. I guess I've always been oddly interested in scary dolls. I've recently learned of Dare Wright and her Lonely Doll series. And then there are the Blythe dolls. And the sexually charged Hans Bellmer mannequins, which were followed by the Chapman Brothers. Hmm...maybe there's a connection with all of these...
